THEA 071D: Musical Theater Production: Contemporary Musicals

Course Description

This course provides the analysis and dramatization of acting techniques necessary for performance of contemporary musicals (1990s–Present). It gives the student an opportunity to perform in a large proscenium style theater. Blocking choices and vocal projection are key elements for study in the course. Students are invited to participate in rehearsals and regularly scheduled performances of plays and musicals. Admission to the course requires an audition.
